Balachandran Raju
Balachandran Raju is an Indian clean-energy entrepreneur and the co-founder and CEO of Wankel Energy Systems. He focuses on industrial energy recovery technologies that convert wasted steam pressure and heat into useful power. Balachandran helped build Wankel Energy Systems from an IIT Madras research effort into a commercial climate-tech venture. The company is developing compact steam expanders and related monitoring tools for process industries where energy is routinely lost through pressure reduction and waste heat.
